The University of Piraeus Research Centre (UPRC) has as its primary purpose to meet the needs of primary & secondary education, adult learning organisations as well as the enterprises and organizations of the private and public sector on subjects concerning designing, programming and effective control of eLearning and in general net-centric systems. In this project, the UPRC will be represented by faculty members and researchers who are affiliated to the Department of Technology Education and Digital Systems. CoSyLlab has been collaborating with Intel, Microsoft and Oracle for running teacher training programs in Greece. The department offers a MSc programme on eLearning. The researchers who will get involved in the project belong to the CoSyLlab research group. All of them and especially Prof. S. Retalis, have been actively involved in standardisation committees on learning technologies such as the IEEE LTSC. They also have a lot of experience on running several EU funded projects on teacher training and innovative uses of ICT in schools and adult learning environments. CoSyLlab team members have won awards at several international competitions which concerned innovative interactive educational applications.
