Focus group meeting of the Erasmus + ALDIA project "Accessible Learning design, implementation and accreditation"

The focus group meeting of the Erasmus + ALDIA project “Accessible Learning design, implementation and accreditation” took place on Monday 24/07 at the University of Alicante in order to test the development of ALdia VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) that has been designed within this European project.

The participants of this design meeting were:

1 person with visual impairment.

  • 1 teacher of Vocational Training.
  • 1 university professor and professional in a care center for hearing impaired.
  • 1 university professor and professional counselor in a care center for people with mental disabilities.
  • 2 university professors specializing in Disability Care.
  • 1 university professor specializing in ICT and education.
  • A doctorate who works the Attention to the Disability from the cinema.

The meeting was coordinated by Prof. Rosabel Roig-Vila of University of Alicante.

During the session the platform has been evaluated from 4 scenarios on: accessibility, usability, navigation and communication and possible improvements have been indicated. In general, the platform has been highly valued and basically minor details have been detected to improve to achieve a more accessible platform.

With this, the platform will be ready to develop the first international MOOC referred to Attention to Disability in the University and Vocational Training fields, offered to the educational community in four languages: English, Spanish, Italian and Greek.
